Process
01
client interview
I met with the client to understand their goals, story, and target audience. We discussed the purpose of the book and identified themes, emotions, or key moments to highlight. I chose this method to help tailor the book to connect with its intended viewers.
02
Curating and Sequencing Photos
When designing the photo book, I carefully reviewed all the photos to select the strongest ones that aligned with the story. Each image had a clear purpose. I arranged them to create a natural flow, balancing aesthetics with storytelling. Breaks and full-page spreads highlighted key moments, giving the narrative rhythm. This approach ensured he book captivated the audience and boosted sales.

01
Refining Through Feedback
When refining the photo book, I shared drafts with the client to gather their feedback and made adjustments accordingly. I also tested the design with a small audience to gauge reactions and refine further. This process ensured the final product met the client’s expectations, resonated with viewers, and avoided design choices that could alienate the audience.
02
Final Production and Distribution
I worked with a trusted printer to produce the book, performing quality checks for colour accuracy, alignment, and binding integrity. This ensured a polished, professional product that met high standards, enhancing the book’s appeal and boosting its market success.
Due to its success, the project will be showcased on an international tour, with the book available for sale in Berlin, London and New York.

Navigating Challenges
Creating this photo book came with its challenges, including a tight deadline and a limited page count due to budget constraints. To keep the project on track, I had to make swift, strategic decisions, prioritising the strongest images and streamlining the layout to ensure every page counted. Clear communication with the client was key, I kept them informed at every step, which allowed us to move quickly and confidently. These challenges pushed me to be resourceful and adaptable, delivering a high-quality product on time and within budget.
